Item was packaged reasonably well, although a sturdier box next time would be a good idea. Nonetheless, item arrive quickly and undamaged from what I can tell. No real complaints, I'm happy to have this rare puzzle from the 70's. Good value and honest seller. Recommended.

The Best Doctor Who Story Of All Time

Genesis of the Daleks is the best Doctor who story of all time. Everything comes together to make this story great, the writing, the performances, the tone, it all holds together so well. In the story, the Doctor is sent on a mission by the Timelords to go back to prevent the creation of the Daleks. Throughout the serial there is a running sense of fighting against the inevitable, a sense of menace and threat as even in their infancy the Daleks are already a powerful force, in concept as much as in physicality. Despite this the sense of excitement and adventure is never lost. The story is directed by David Maloney, one of the best directors of Doctor Who, who also directed such classics as The War Games, The Deadly Assassin and The Talons of Weng Chiang. There was a tendency in some of ...

Classic who at its very best.

I don't have a problem with the story. It is an all time 1970s tv classic but the packaging wasn,t great and one of the discs was badly scratched underneath most likely from overuse.

  • Classic Who

This is the best Tom Baker Doctor Who story and maybe the best ever. It's got a serious moral. The story is deeply anti-war and interestingly poses the question of the right to life of a hostile lifeform. As always with Tom you get plenty of humour and pathos, and lots of tension as the Daleks' foundation story unfolds. I much prefer the old Doctor Who stories which built over time compard to the mini-movie format of the latter version.

  • Best Doctor Who story of all time

A lengthier than usual - six episode - story that is both engaging and entertaining from start to finish. Yes, the special effects are mid 70's tiny budget, but this does not in any way detract from the story. The portrayal of Davros is superb. Well worth a watch even if you're not a dedicated Doctor Who fan.
