      Boxcar Children - great story

The Boxcar Children was my very favorite story during my youth. Now that I have grandchildren of my own, I introduced the story of my eldest grand daughter, who at that time was 4 years of age. Now, she is 5 1/2 and still wants me to read the book to her. I read it off my Kindle - no colored illustrations - just a great story line that feeds the imagination. This summer, I purchased, Zetta, her own hard copy. She is starting to read and now has the book at her fingertips. The Boxcar Children is now a third generation favorite in our family!

    • A very good book. light enough for kids to hold without getting too heavy

In the past I have purchased The Boxcar Children books for my grandchildren. And now I am going to start purchasing them for my Great Grandchildren. Kids love to listen to them and love to read them. Clean, healthy stories. I highly recommend them.

    • Cover matched ad

I specifically purchase this Boxcar Children because I like the old cover (which looks friendly and happy) better than the new cover (which looks scary, even terrifying). I was pleased that the cover matched the description in the ad. My kids (age 5 and 6) now are excited to read Boxcar Children!

    • My all time favorite childhood book!

my FAVORITE childhood book. I bought it for my book-worm grand daughter because she can't have my old copy (yet). This book spawned dozens of daydreams for me, and I loved looking at the world through a box car. I am not a fan of the series that follow, but I love love love the original This is a paperback copy but well worth the money and compels me to read it again before I give it away!

    • Some stories never get old.

As a little girl, i read this and loved it! I continued with the entire series. I raised my grand daughter and read it to her each night. She loved to talk about it the next day. Now i am raising my great-grand daughter and always look forward to a new chapter.
