Reviews
"Francine unlocks the longing in each one of us to connect to God in a deeper, life-changing way. No one reading her books will ever be the same again."--Debbie Macomber"As we 'watch' Hadassah and Atretes struggle through first-century trials, we learn how to handle similar situations in the twenty-first century. The 'costumes' may vary, but our victorious Lord does not change."--Angela Hunt, author of Doesn't She Look Natural?"Francine redefined Christian fiction-honest, unflinching, powerful, life-changing-demonstrating why storytelling is the most effective way to communicate God's truth. Every Christian novelist writing today owes a debt of gratitude to Francine Rivers for lighting the way."--Liz Curtis Higgs, best-selling author of the Lowlands of Scotland series"Francine Rivers writes from her heart to touch the hearts of her readers. Her books are essential reading for all who love Christian fiction. . . ."--Bodie Thoene, winner of eight ECPA Gold Medallion Awards for Christian fiction

I received the book I ordered but it DEFINITELY doesn’t look like the book pictures. It’s a plain cover with only words, no art. I’ve decided to keep the book and it’s in like new condition.

Another good read from the author of Redeeming Love

Francine Rivers is passionate about helping young women thrive. Her books are very emotional and will make you laugh and cry. She uses fiction to address hard issues that are critical but difficult.

  • A Voice In The Wind by Francine Rivers

I bought this book because it was the selected choice of a book club that i participate in. I had never read a book by Francine Rivers before and did not know the genre of her writing. The book was excellent. Francine is a very descriptive writer and includes a lot of historical facts in her fiction. I enjoyed the book so much that I purchased the sequel to "A Voice in the Wind" called "An Echo in the Darkness". The books follow the lives of several characters who are looking for answers to their religious beliefs. The stories take place about 40 years after the crusifiction and resurecction of Jesus Christ. The story line is mainly set in Rome but travels to Jerusalem and Ephesus. The books are definetly page turners and I have had a hard time setting down the books and when I do ...

  • Great Series

This is the first book in the Mark of the Lion series...I started with the second book and loved it so this will complete the series. I may have read them in a different order, but each book focuses on one character, so I didn't feel "lost" not having read them in order. This book is great, I highly recommend it. It helps reignite the fire within to reach out to others that God puts in our path, no matter the circumstances. This is a book I will be sharing with many friends!

  • Recommended Reading

If you have ever read the bible, you know that compared to a good fiction novel, it can tend to be a bit dry (though full in truth). Ms. Rivers has made bible study enjoyable. You get a taste of characters from the bible that you may have never thought of otherwise. Reading her book led me to study "the word," much closer - giving me a desire to look at the "times." Ms. Rivers is a good fiction writer and story teller. I hope she keeps them coming for a long time to come. I am also currently reading her novellas on the minor prophets. They are wonderful, too.

  • Best Series Ever!

This is Book 1 of the best books I’ve ever read. I have given several sets as gifts and am about to begin my second reading. Very detailed, amazingly written historical fiction that truly touched my heart.
