a sad movie that gets you in from the start, very good,

The happy couple begin their relationship with the world at their feet, drinking for fun and relaxation but as time goes on they gradually slide into a downward spiral of heavy drinking which rules their lives.They try desperately to quit drinking and pull their lives together only to fall back into the old pattern, eventually only one can kick the habit. This Movie is essential viewing and is as relevant now as when it was made in the early 1960s.Great performances by Jack Lemmon and Lee Remick. Great 60's Drama Movie
This is a great film. Both Jack Lemmon and Lee Remmick give superb performances as a couple and their struggles with Alcoholism. This drama has a great script and is well directed . I thoroughly enjoyed watching this film and am glad I have it in my collection.
