    The Napping House

This is a great little story, i heard the author Arduary Woods read it. She says it was based on her son and her mothers daily napping rituals. Lol !! I had my preschoolers act it out for grandparents day..it was a hit!!!

  • Great book!

This is one of my favorite children's stories. I love getting this one for baby showers, since I think it makes a very nice addition to a child's library. The illustrations are great, and the story is fun to read. Some things you might point out to your little one...As you turn each page, the perspective changes just a little, so that, on the first page, you are looking eye-level with the bed, and toward the end you are looking down into the room. Also, in each picture, you can have your child try to find each "character" in the story...the flea, the mouse, the cat, etc. They're all there, from the beginning, even though it doesn't talk about them all at first. There's also a fun change in the weather, from dark and rainy, to bright and sunny. Really love this one!

  • Fast shipping with a nice addition to a teacher's, Speech Path's , parent's

Fast shipping with extra effort to protect item. This book is used within many school systems for Story Retell within Oral Narratives Formats. It is an excellent short story for use with Story Mapping ie Main Idea, Story Sequence , Characters, Setting, etc. Perfect to be read and reread or retold from memory. This book was used, in great shape , and I paid very little for this hardbound format. It is part of the Iowa Oral Narratives Project used by SLPs , teachers, and parents.

  • Lovely story, great illustrations
