Synopsis
The heroine of "Always the Bridesmaid" finally gets the starring role. All she wants is the perfect wedding to her one true love--and she doesn't want to turn into bridezilla, but her special day is making her want to run the other way., The heroine of "Always the Bridesmaid" finally gets the starring role. Cate couldn't wait for her own wedding so she could do it right, after all she'd learned from the mistakes her friends made before her. And Ethan was the perfect husband-to-be. If only something, anything, else was perfect. First her engagement ring disappears. Then Ethan's ex-girlfriend shows up-and keeps showing up. Cate's mother has a stranglehold on the planning, and Ethan's meddling cousin is making Cate regret inviting her to join the wedding party. Cate wants to marry her one true love. And she doesn't want to turn into bridezilla. But her special day is making her want to run the other way., This ambitious philosophical anthology combines analyses and surveys of contemporary theorizing on social identity. The editors redirect classic philosophical questions about personal identity to the categories of race, class, gender and sexuality. Readings consist of scholarly, popular, autobiographical and literary writings that engage issues in racial theory, social and political philosophy and feminism. A fifth part of the book on intersection illustrates the conceptual problems with essentialism and the taxonomy of identity politics. The importance of narrative accounts of social life within these significant identity categories is emphasized throughout the volume., Cate Padgett was the bridesmaid, four times over, in Always the Bridesmaid . Now she's finally the blushing bride--for better, for worse... Cate couldn't wait for her own wedding so she could do it right, after all she'd learned from the mistakes her friends made before her. • One of my Favorite Books! A++

I LOVE this book! When I read the first book of this series "Always the Bridesmaid" I fell in love with Whitney Lyles writing. So then I decided to get this one, and loved it! The plot is fantastic, and the characters are funny and relate-able. Readers can get right into this book and not want to put it down- not even for a minute! I can't wait to read more books by this author- she is one of my favorites! A++

  • Here Comes the Bride

This is a great story. It has everything you want from escapist chick lit - a wedding, a crazy dog, a reappearing ex-fiance, a religious nut mother - all in one funny book. There is a happy ending to boot! I highly recommend this book!

  • GREAT book!

This book is great! Just as good as the first one (Always the Bridesmaid). After reading the first one, I couldn't wait to read this one and it certainly lived up to my expectations!
