    decent trail camera

    I have a dozen other trail cameras besides this Stealth Cam G30, so I have a pretty good idea of what I want in a game camera. On the plus side, I like the case design. It is fairly compact ant the latches are simple and sturdy. The batteries last forever. I wish it had a camo exterior like the Stealth Cam G42NG. The plain gray color sticks out like a sore thumb in most locations. The pictures are just so-so. Daylight pictures don't have very good color saturation and night pictures don't have very good definition. Animals close up will be washed out. I do like the spacing of multishot images. I generally use the first pre-programed setting which takes 3 shots. These are quick enough that a deer walking through the frame will normally have 3 pictures taken of it.     Bought two of these cams one works great, Other than its hard to get SD cards out the other burns the batteries out in around 75pics on the lowest setting. The good one I've got over 400pics and batteries are still doin well

    Have 2 Now

    Have large yard and stuff goes on at night. Use them for security. Had one in front to observe driveway. Easy to set up and I like the custom feature which one can choose times it's active. Wife saw a bear in back so ordered another one to set up in back. So far I've only taken pictures of the neighbor's cat and my dog. The nighttime pix are okay and the daytime pix are very clear.

    poor quality

    Terrible flicker in sunlight. Good night time pictures. Trigger speed is nowhere near as fast as advertised. Does not recognize exFAT formatting which indicates outdated drives and software.
