About this product

Product Information

Toby (Jami Gertz) is a New Jersey girl looking for love--and since she hasn't been too successful with the local boys, she's decided to try her luck in the Big Apple. So when she crashes her well-worn Beetle into a brand new Mercedes, she realizes that this may be her chance to meet Mr. Right. The Mercedes belongs to Sal (Dylan McDermott), a high-powered businessman who could make all of Toby's dreams come true. Unfortunately, Sal already has a girlfriend, and in any case, he's not too thrilled with this pushy lower-class gal. But appearances aren't everything, as Sal and Toby will discover together after a long and difficult courtship.

    Enjoyable

I am from NJ which was the reason for watching the movie in the first place. He movie ended up being very cute and entertaining. I actually really liked it, and not just because it was a move that finally talked about NJ in a positive way. I would definitely recommend seeing it.

We saw the ending of this movie on cable television. It seemed interesting enough for the price it was offered for. In whole, it is a good movie, the interaction between father, grandfather and daughter is believable. Jennifer Lopez was great for the short time she appears. Ben Affleck was good as Ollie because he did make me feel the emotions he was going through. The little girl sometimes chewed the scenery to much, a little bit of cute goes a long way. It's a good Saturday afternoon chick flick. Not too fluffy, not too serious with about the right about of humor. Some of the topics are not suitable for young children, unless you enjoy trying to explain sexually explicit subjects and remarks. I'm glad I waited for it to come out on DVD, but thought I received good value for the ...

  • Jersey Girl

My girls and I love this movie!! It is one of our all time favorites. Staring Ben Affleck as a father who has lost his wife after she gave birth to their daughter. The daughter is then raised by him and his father. This movie gives a look into the life of a single father trying to raise his daughter and grieving for his wife. He doesnt take care of her like he should at first he is too absorbed in mourning the loss of his wife and work. Finally he snaps and loses his job. Its very interesting movie and well worth the purchase.

  • George Carlin HOW COULD I GIVE IT A BAD REVIEW

This movie was a good one. It showed a softer side of George Carling (MY FAVORITE STAND UP COMEDIAN) I even liked his short lived serries on Fox. I know he was also the train conductor on THOMAS. Ok lets get back to the review. This was a drama, if it was just a comedy, I would have given it a 5 out of 5. There are so many funny scenes in this movie to go along with the sad parts. I would recomend this to all of the people who enjoy a good laugh, and a good cry at the same time.
