Enter isolated skirmishes and large-scale battles, on the surface of strange planets and in the void of deep space through Imperium Galactica II: Alliances, a sequel to the 1996 3D real-time strategy. The game is designed to provide a broad, seamless galaxy for players to explore, colonize, defend, and conquer on their own terms. A variety of options allow players to focus on the aspects of gameplay they find most appealing while the computer handles other duties and micro-management.<br><br>The game combines elements of classic empire-building games like Master of Orion and groundbreaking real-time strategy titles like Homeworld into a new, more comprehensive experience of space faring culture. Three races vie for control in this universe; the inquisitive humans, the militaristic Kra'hen, and the diplomatic Shinari. Each seeks to capitalize on its strengths and perhaps exploit the weaknesses of the others, though each has its own unique end goal. Players can guide any of the three through a fully developed storyline whose final chapter they ultimately will determine themselves.

    Space Adventures in the 21st Century!

    Enter into the 21st Century with a game that will work on XP as well as Windows 98. This game has the enjoyment of a Star Wars type environment with great graphics and some good battles. In addition this game is a great strategy environment challenging even the most savy to a good afternoon of play and engineering. If this game can keep my "master player" engaged for hours then this no doubt will be a great investment for you! Engage!

    Imperuim Galactica before its time

    It may take some tricks to get it working on xp, but it is still one of the best 4x games ever made. It is still incredibly fun in 2008, just as it was in 1998.

    Games of childhood

    I bought this game because it was the frist pc game i bought and finish with out any one help. this game has a lot of memory that go with it. any one looking for a great game should buy this one it fun and never the same game each time you play it.

    Great Game

    Fun empire building game still unrivalled by games of today. Able to still work on modern computers with a bit of compatibility tinkering. Massively re-playable, 3 different campaigns with unit design, massive tech tree, land and space battles. An all time favourite.
