  • The Kursk.

In many ways it is a Nice Model. The shape and Details of the boat are Great. My only complaint is the size. I should have known as it is stated that it is a 1/700 model. And is only about 8 inches in overall length, and that makes it out of place with my other subs, that the smallest is from 16 inches, to 5 feet in length. For a first model it may be fine, But it is not really one an advanced modeler would want.

  • "SSGN 'Kursk'- The Last Patrol August 12, 2000"

Decent kit. Not too many parts, but only "half" the sub is there in the kit. No matter. Scratch-built the seascape then inserted the "Kursk" into it. Sail parts difficult to work with b/c so small... . Small problem with decals: they were very tough separating from the decal sheet, then when they did, began to fall apart quickly. Lost some of them to disintegration. Overall, a fun kit. Learned some new modeling techniques in the process. Thank you- Bob M.- Denver.
