    Really protects

    I don't use these for soccer. I wear them either with shorts or under my long pants in the woods to avoid the rigors of walking, working, and hunting in heavy underbrush. Boots and kneepads are good, but shin guards add to the protection for my lower legs. I would recommend tall socks to keep the hard plastic off your skin.

    Good basic chin guards.

    The chin guards appear to be of good quality. The foam backing feels comfortable, and the velcro strap works well.
