Giving Life to Your Moderoid
It's great seeing every company with mecha and figures releasing there own stands, because these are critical for action poses (otherwise restricted by gravity). I have a lot of different stands: shokugan base, Bandai's action base series, S.H. Figure Arts and even a fancy flexible arm stand from Wave. If you've built Moderoid, you know that these models have overly stiff or loose joints, and bits love to fall off if you look at it funny. The Simple Stand works like a charm! It has a couple standard connector options: grabby hand (for waist), angle peg and default peg (molded into the stand arm). Escaflowne uses the peg, but Mazinkaisers seem to need the grabby hand. For $27 you get 3 stands, for a 1/144 scale HG-ish sized robot. The base is clear and clean w/ raise and tapered sides. I ... I tried using this on the Kotobukiya Rockman X kit, and it worked *okay*, but not fantastic. I recommend getting these stands for your Moderoid, but it's not a good 'all-purpose' option.
