About this product

Product Information

Become a karate master in this home conversion of Data East's hit arcade game. Choose from two punches and eight different kicks to defeat your red gi-clad opponent in nine outdoor settings. Each one-on-one fight involves earning points within a 30-second round by landing clean hits. Score two points in each round to win the best-of-three match. A referee appears in the background to award full and half-points by lifting a flag and saying the word "point." Test your mettle in three mini-games that have you knocking down a series of moving objects. Compete against the computer or challenge a friend with the two-player option.

    Fun with 2 players!

Classic arcade game brought to the NES. My 9 year old loves it; just like I did when I was a kid.

  • High Ya!

In my opinion, Nintendo games/products are classic and worth spending some cash on. A long time ago I sold my set, a decision I began to regret a couple years back. Since then, I have slowly been buying it all back. Karate Champ is an awesome 2 player fighting game. Besides the words "Begin" and "Stop", not much else can be heard except the the clashing of video fists and heels. If you have ever seen the movie "Bloodsport", w/ Jean Claude Vandam, you might remember the arcade game him and his buddy (the harley guy) were playing in the hotel lounge towards the beginning of the movie ect... Anyways, it's the same game! Thanks for your time. J

  • Fun Game to play with your friends (Karate Champ)

I Used to Play this game as a little dude, about back in 1994-95. since then, i lost the game for nintendo and have thought about the instructor always saying "Be-gin" before every match in the game, my dad and i would then repeat it again and again and finally my cousin moved from Maine back here, and said hey!, lets check E-Bay!!! we hooked up the nintendo, played other games, and when it arrived, it's been in the nintendo since. much fun to go back in time to play this martial arts game. i strongly recommend this game to any family seeking two player fun for an evening!!!

  • The game alone

    Got it for nostalgic purposes.
