  • Rattle and Hum (music CD vs DVD Video)

the album is good but the DVD video is noticeably a better buy... first off you get to see guitarist "Edge" do his stuff... focused and to the point (the man is just plain awesome). second - there are some renditions on the video NOT on the album and that keenly makes for a big difference... There are brief add-in endings to the songs not on the original music CD (Gloria, Sympathy For the Devil and ruby Tuesday). And Sunday Bloody Sunday leads one to believe that Bono/U2 is just plain sick and tired of war and killing... (again "the Edge" Dave Evans delivers awesome and tireless machine gun chops) and last - the DVD video is for all purposes as good (fidelity wise) as the music CD CaHazard Alton, NH

  • A chance to see the "real" guys that make up U2

This album was not only a great mix of music that is classic U2, but it is also a glimpse inside the minds of the men who made the music. It's a chance to see that these 4 guys from Dublin are, indeed, human. You see the differences in their personalities and their musical likings (a precursor to their all-to-close-call with calling it quits before sticking it out to release Achtung Baby). The music is a mix of new stuff, old stuff, live stuff and studio stuff. They have some great help on some of the recordings from some known and lesser-known people. "Still haven't found what I'm looking for" was backed by a gospel choir in NYC and "When love comes to town" was recorded with the blues man himself, BB King (including some pretty high compliments ...

  • Excellent, one of the best CD's ever made

This album is simply one of the best U2 ever wrote, aswell as Achtung Baby. The song 'desire' is a raw adrenaline rush of music with rough tones and exceptional guitars and drums. 'All I want is u' is a beautiful ballad that Bono wrote and one of the most relaxing and inspiring love songs mixed together, like a crying teenager pouring his heart out, only to get ripped apart by life. 'Pride' is a tribute to the fall of apartheid, and is one of the most moving songs I've ever heard, the acoustics are sensational, and the melody is entrancing, but like all U2 songs, the lyrics and the ability to make love to the music is what the band excel in, sounding like they are playing their souls on their instruments. 'Angel of Harlem' is an ...

  • Love the CD

Have always been a big fan of U2. However did not have it on CD and wanted it so I could listen to it in my car. Love the quality of the CD and the music itself. Appreciated the timely manner that I received it as well.
