About this product

Product Information

The dramatic story of an X-wing pilot on the razor's edge between the hero he once was and the power he could have--if he's willing to embrace the Dark Side Corran Horn was an officer in the Corellian Security Force before casting his lot with the New Republic. As the grandson of a legendary Jedi hero, he has latent Force powers that have yet to be developed. But he has managed to distinguish himself with Rogue Squadron, the X-wing fighter force that has become the scourge of the Empire and of the pirates that prey on Republic shipping. When his wife, Mirax, vanishes on a covert mission for the New Republic, Corran vows to find her. He begins Jedi training at Luke Skywalker's Jedi academy, hoping to develop his untapped powers. But as Corran grows dissatisfied with the Jedi master's methods, he chooses to break with the academy before his training is finished. Now Corran is on his own. Using his undercover experience, he must infiltrate, sabotage, and destroy a ruthless organization in order to find his wife. But to succeed, Corran will have to come to terms with his Jedi heritage--and make a terrible choice: surrender to the Dark Side . . . or die.

  • Fantastic, Gripping, A must for StarWars Fans.

I, Jedi was simply marvelous. All elements that would have made a good movie: excitement, drama, excellent plots and humor where necessary were present. Further more none of these positive traits overshadowed the other they all coalesce in perfect symbiotic balance. The story totally revolves around an X-Wing pilot from the famous Rogue Squadron, Corran Horn. The story begins humbly where Corran Horn returns from a mission to find his wife missing. Corran then sees a vision of his wife in trouble. This is also where the author really lets on the Corran has inert and untrained Jedi powers. No surprise since this is a Star Wars based novel. Corran soon learns that the Invids, an intergalactic pirate gang, had kidnapped his wife and may be being held hostage on the Invidious their flagship. ...

  • I, Jedi: great story...just left me hungy

The book I, Jedi...honestly a must read in the Star Wars series and possibly a starter for those who are unsure about getting into it all. What I love about this book is that it takes you away from the main focus of Lucas' movies...the focus is not the Skywalker lineage and actually delves into the nuances of how and why. Corran Horn, a Correllian formerly of the squad CorSec which is like real life SWAT or FBI, is the main character. In some of the previous books this character is all but banished from his home world and joins the famous Rogue Squadron...famous for the group of X-Wing pilots that Skywalker flew with to destroy the first Death Star. All throughout his life he is aware of his Jedi linneage but strays from it because of it's black/white demeanor and in a struggle to save ...
