I'm excited! Picked this as a late christmas present for my boyfriend hehee! It came on the first day of ETA, it was packaged with bubble wrap and extra paper. The box said "fragile" on it. It appears to be the authentic thing. I left it in the original plastic because I know my boyfriend will be excited to open it himself! The box set is in mint condition, again, with the original wrap, as it was described. I'm very happy with this seller. Suoer thankful!

  • buy gatchaman instead

the added animation for American t.v is pretty terrible. this show was re edited & altered from a Japanese show called 'gatchaman'. the american producers shamelessly tried to star wars it up to cash in on the tsunami of star wars pandemonium. as a tot, i assumed this was just a big ol' star wars rip off. turns out, 'gatchaman' came out years earlier in japan. anime fans seem to have a blind spot. i have seen this described as classic anime. truth is: the drawing in 'gatchaman' is 2nd rate comic book & the animation doesn't really rise above 'the flintstones'. that said, 'gatchaman' does have a soap opera appeal. the story does develop thru the seasons & there is actually character development. if you remember 'botp' as a tot as i do, it just doesn't hold up. i would suggest checking out ...

  • Battle of The Planets Vol. 1 DVD

I liked this dvd because it is the real english version of the tv show. I bought it because my dad loved watching the show when he was a kid. So it was a perfect gift for him. Although I made the mistake in buying the DVD from Austrailia so it doesn't work on every DVD Player in the United States but it's still works on other players. All-and-all its a good DVD for fans of the series.
