    • America At Its Economic Worst

For anyone raised in CA during the 70's this movie will hit home. High flying aerospace exec gets canned and is unsuccessful in getting another gig. Eventually, and by accident, armed robbery becomes their highway to suburban riches and, as they say, hilarity ensues. This movie contains stereotypes of all descriptions and the respective actors nail their parts - even the bit players. You will ask yourself.....did we actually live through that?

Good 1970's comedy. Characters are great. A worthwhile watch to escape for awhile.

    • The original is the best

I liked this movie a lot because of the realistic interaction between the main characters and the humor. George Segal (the boss from Just Shoot Me) is the likeable Clyde to Jane Fonda's sly and sexy Bonnie. Ed McMahon leaves Johnny Carson's sidekick chair long enough for a good performance; also note Jay Leno's film debut (don't blink). I bought this because I love Jane Fonda.

    • This is the original version...

And it's much better than the Jim Carey version. Jane Fonda gives her usual terrific performance and George Segal is superb. They are both really funny and entertaining. You won't be disappointed.

    • Fun with Dick & Jane

I liked it when it was first released. I recalled that I had liked it, so I bought it in a DVD . Of course, I do not feel that everyone should handle their lay-off in this manner. Segal and Fonda were believable and humerous. And their team work as a married couple was admirable. Older movies can be entertaining and humerous without all the "overdoneness" of today's movies. This movie in comparison to the Jim Carrey version is a classic example. Few newer versions are as good or better than the original in my opinion. There are some notable exceptions, of course. The sequel and the remake of Parent Trap were as entertaining as the original while still having there own personality.
