I have tried several types of cone style coffee filter, and a lot of them are too thin and break, or only come in a bleached style that contain unwanted chemicals in its manufacturing. The Mellitta cone filters have always been of great quality, very sturdy for a paper filter, good tight seams and gives me the option of the natural brown. I would highly recommend it.

Melita brand is sturdy - doesn't fall apart after sitting with wet grinds. Brown is unbleached (which are white filters). Melita filters cost more than generic at the grocery store (except perhaps when on sale) and are comparable when buying in semi-bulk, like this. We use one or two per day, so the supply lasts for at least a year.

Work very well in cone type coffee makers. Just fold edges as shown on the package.

They truly are the best, they have hundreds of microscopic holes that let all the flavor of the coffee flow into your cup, I tried the cheap look alike filters you buy at the grocery store and got a crap cup of coffee even though I use the very best beans. Do you want a good cup a Joe? then don't be stingy, spend that extra buck and taste the difference.

While I find it hard to find a replacement for the plastic cone, the one I have is 20 years and going strong. These filters are terrific -- zero paper taste and make great coffee. And the value for the 6-pack is amazing!
