About this product

Product Information

With the power to create and destroy, you must face your greatest challenge and restore order, light, and color to the world. Experience an epic journey as you travel through the land in the form of a white-as-snow wolf named Shiranui (Okami) in the Nintendo Wii video game Okami. As you battle foes, you will need to use your claws and fangs as well as your magical powers, such as being able to transform night into day, to emerge the victor. In addition, to solve puzzles and reach new locations in this game, players use the innovative Wii Remote controller to paint splashes of light and color across the screen. The controller is what really brings this game to life; its pointer feature offers an immediate, realistic virtual paintbrush.

    Okami Wii

This game is about as close to being Zelda as you can get, so I say swoop it up if you're a fan of that style of game. It can be found for like $5 in Wii, which is great value for such a deep game. The graphics are unique and still look cool despite being a tad dated. My only gripe is the controls: fighting and painting can be a challenge. Finicky controls aren't uncommon with the Wii though ;)

  • Fun, long game

I really like the play of the game. It is a good use of the wii-mote, though the strokes can be somewhat challenging at times. It's a fun adventure game and has a ton of play time. I thought I was finished with the game after 30 some hours but was caught up in another story. I'm now almost finished with the second but it's gotten difficult. It's great that it's a challenge, and even greater how much play time there appears to be. I've heard over 100 hrs. I won't get tired of it. I like that if you want to spend your time leveling up, it's very easy to do so. Just engage the many floating demon scrolls for fights. If you're questing after something, it's easy enough to avoid these. A lot of the mini games are not mini games at all and advance the story line, but are not as ...

  • Good story, great graphics, excellent music!

I decided to buy Okami for Wii seeing as how it got rave reviews from almost everyone who played it. After about one hour of playing it, I understood what all the talk was about. In a nutshell, Okami is about a wolf who has to save the world, but there's much more to it than that. The story is told with the assistance of beautiful graphics that are made to resemble traditional Japanese paintings and the music also has elements of traditional sounding Japanese music. As for the gameplay, at first it's a little hard to get used to using the Celestial Brush and everything, but something about it makes you feel just so much more involved in the game. Otherwise the controls are relatively easy to memorize. The only thing I didn't like was that sometimes the game seemed a little glitchy or ...

  • Okami Wii Version

I bought this game after a play through on the original Play Station 2 version. Once you get used to the game controls of the wii, the game is fun. The story line is the same as the PS2 version, so no hidden surprises. I'm the type of person who (if I've really enjoyed a game), adore a second play through. And having to relearn the controls with the wii remote was a bit challenging at first, not as easy as the PS2 controls. The only real nitpick I have with this is that there are no credits at the end of the game (due to legal reasons, from what I've read online with the closing of Clover studios). And a game with no credits generally bums me out at the end. I also experienced some glitches in the Wii version that I did not experience in the PS2 (namely, Ammy's head disappearing after ...

  • Okami OMG

This game is awesome. I'm so glad I finally was able to procure a copy. Factory sealed no less. Fantastic and unique graphics and gameplay. It is quite innovative, even now, 10 years later. Fabulous storyline as well.
