Discussing a return, the seller recommended I keep the item for a $5 refund (on a $200 item) or refuse shipping for a full refund. I looked into this, and it turns out that refusing a package will nullify eBay’s buyer protection. I’d use extreme caution, because this seller is clearly trying to skirt the rules for their benefit.
