    GFCI Circuit Breaker

GFCI Circuit breakers are great alternate to the in wall GFCI outlet required by code in wet locations and outdoor. a 'normal' GFCI outlet allows you to daisey-chain several regular outlets, protecting them as well, however this requires the wiring to be run in a particular way, which may be an issue with existing installations. While significantly more expensive than an outlet, a GFCI breaker will protect the entire circuit from the electric panel, and comes in handy when outlet wiring branch to several locations, not in daisy-chain In my case I needed to protect the outdoor pool light circuit. The existing switch box had no room for a GFCI outlet and a switch, and changing it to a larger box was more work than it's worth.

  • Functional Breaker but Metal clip not captured securely.

All good except for back steel clip not captured in breaker. Had to finesse it into panel to keep it from falling out of breaker. Got it seated after a few tries. Works good.

  • Does what it supposed to

GFCI's are good at keeping the electrons from biting you, but I think the retail prices on them is outrageous.

  • QO GFI breaker

What I needed when everyone else's shelves were bare. I ordered it way before I was expecting to need it but USPS lost it for a week. Showed up the day after I really needed it... so all is well. Thanks.
