The author concentrates on the fine psychological nuances, showing how Alex is formed the way his Top envisions him sexually, until he finally reaches the desired mental consistency that allows his Master to do whatever he pleases. The author easily finds the right words for this mental journey, creating a literary gem. This is what I find so impressive - the flowing, playful and masterful way in which the author writes and gives character to this highly achieved novel.
