    Excellent book, highly recommended

I highly recommend this for anyone. The writing is excellent, the subject compelling. The author, who is a therapist, takes you along both as she works with her clients and as she goes to therapy herself. You'd think that she would know how to deal with life-blows, since she herself is a therapist, but what she demonstrates is that we all have blind areas. It really makes one think that 1) we all might get a lot of benefit from working with a therapist, and 2) we often aren't doing what we think we are doing. It aptly illustrates what I know from working with others, from kids and family to co-workers and psychiatric patients: helping them changes us, too, and we're all in this together.

  • Interesting read!

I haven’t finished reading the book because I don’t want it to end. It’s very intriguing gaining insight on the therapists thoughts and feelings as well as the patients and how they can teach each other. Great book! Kind of an eye opener.

  • Wish I could call her now!

The author is as talented a writer as she is a keen observer of human behavior. Seeing her work through her own struggles along with those of her patient’s was helpful to me. She’s a great guide in learning how we can deal with those struggles to live the life we want.

  • Valuable info

I love this book. I've read it twice. I borrowed it on my library app but needed the heard copy so I can highlight and reread parts that are helpfulto me-a lot of parts😀

  • It is very good

I only received the ebook. I thought I paid for the hardcover book. I am having some difficulty because there isn’t a bookmark.
