The size of this Ipod makes it very convenient to use. The clip on the back is another design feature that I like. You can just clip the Ipod on the top of your pants' pocket. The battery life lasts for hours and hours. The only setback about the shuffle is that it does not have a screen, so you have to browse through the songs on the playlist to get to the song you want. Other than the missing screen, this mp3 player is extremely convenient and easy to use.
I have to start out by saying that I really do like the size and convenience of the shuffle. For working out, riding a bike, etc, it does a great job. I really don't like not having a screen to see what I'm listening to or what is on the player, but that was expected with the Shuffle and is a compromise you have to make to get this size. The one big dislike I have of this player is the interface with the computer (iTunes) and the charging capability (or lack of). If you have your shuffle charging on your computer and you are in a hurry you can't just pull it off the charging stand / interface. This could leave you with nothing on your shuffle at all. Also, if you aren't careful with your settings, you could end up replacing all of your music every time you plug it in to charge it. How hard would it have been to provide a charging interface that didn't immediately have to go to iTunes and risk deleting your music each time? I have had the shuffle for a few weeks now and have had multiple times where I have brought it in to work only to find that the music I wanted isn't there (sometimes no music at all). If it wasn't for this big concern I would really like this player for the purpose it is designed for: holding a few songs and randomly shuffling through them. However, this interface concern has me really wishing I had a different player.Read full review
I really love my iPod. I wanted one for my daughter who's 10. She needed one that would fit in a pocket and be easily hid when at school. The one I bought was really small and can clip on to her. She loves putting it on to whatever she is wearing. It is easy to use and load songs on. My daughter can put on and take off whatever songs she likes. I just wish that I didn't have to put itunes on my computer. Luckily, we have an iPod touch too. I don't like having to buy songs. I can put my own CDs to put on there, but they should make it less expensive. It is so expensive to buy the device and then to tack on more charges is just redicules. I do really like the convience of the size and it is so handy. I like it. I would buy it again. Ebay was the least expensive way I found to buy this item. As this is my first guide, I hope that you found it useful.Read full review
If you like to work out and don't want to worry about your tunes getting in the way, the Ipod shuffle may be for you. The shuffle is small, very small (about the size of a matchbook). It holds up to 240 songs which is great. If you use Itunes, when you download your music you can put the albums in order and forward through songs that you don't want, or you can just use one of the many random shuffle features to allow itunes to fill your shuffle with music. Some notable likes, dislikes... I have owned 3 shuffles. My first shuffle took a swim when it got washed with my gym pants. (I told you it was small). I actually sold it on ebay as a non working, broken shuffle and there are companies and individuals who will buy them and refurbish them. If you do happen to wash yours or get it wet, I would suggest that you let it dry out for a long time BEFORE hooking it up to your computer, there may be a chance to still salvage it if you let it dry. The shuffle feature sometimes chooses songs more randomly than others- for example, I work out with about 125 songs or so, and when I synch back with itunes there are some tunes that have been played "randomly" more than others, no big deal - but some sort of programming glitch. Again, if you don't care about reading who you are listening to (I know what songs I put on it, it's not like I need to see who the artist is) than the shuffle and its smallness will work for you. I have also hooked it up to my car stereo, with it being that small, i could hide it in a cupholder or under a floor mat and noone would even see it (and I own a Jeep!- security is harder to come by!) I would definately recommend them to anyone.Read full review
I sat by a kid on the bus named Patrick. He has an ipod shuffle and I asked him if I could listen to music on it and he said sure.So for the next few days I got to listen to music on it.Then I asked him if he new how much they cost.He said they were worth about $200.00.I said that was a lot of money. The next day I told him I thought he was kidding. He told me he was. Then when I got of the bus that day I went into the house and asked my dad if he could look up the ipod shuffle on eBay.So he did and we saw them in a lot of differrent colors.First,I looked at the pink then purple then I saw the green and I asked if I could buy it.My dad asked me how much it was then I told him it was $49.69.Then he said I could buy it.THen about a week later it came in the mail.I couldn't wait to download songs on it.My mom helped me download songs on it a few days later.First,we went to itunes.com then we had to click on download now and had to wait about 10 minutes for it to download.when it was finished downloading I looked up the songs i wanted to download it showed me how much they were and u could listen to the song before u buy it. So she saw an allowance thing where you get $10.00 each month to spend on songs and my mom signed me up for an allowance then i got ten dollars spent it on songs and then i just plugged me ear phones into the ipod and started to listen to music.i hope now you now what you needed to now about the ipod shuffle.I enjoy the ipod shuffle, but wish it had a screen to watch the music video for the song.thank you for asking Lizzy Echols age 9.Read full review
