Synopsis
In a Chicago suburb, a dentist is met in his office parking lot by three men and ordered into the trunk of his Lexus. On a downtown sidewalk, Jack Reacher and an unknown woman are abducted in broad daylight by two men - practiced and confident - who stop them at gunpoint and hustle them into the same sedan. Then Reacher and the woman are switched into a second vehicle and hauled away, leaving the dentist bound and gagged inside his car with the woman's abandoned possessions, two gallons of gasoline. . . and a burning match. The FBI is desperate to rescue the woman, a Special Agent from the Chicago office, because the FBI always - always - takes care of its own, and because this woman is not just another agent. Reacher and the woman join forces, against seemingly hopeless odds, to outwit their captors and escape. But the FBI thinks Jack is one of the kidnappers - and when they close in, the Bureau snipers will be shooting to kill.

    • Not Lee Child's best Jack Reacher Story...

Lee Child is a fantastic writer. His books are consistantly entertaining, easy-to-read stories - perfect for as a light vacation read! In this one, Jack's karma haunts him again... This time, he "accidentally" gets involved in a kidnapping as only Jack Reacher can. As the story proceeds, it gets more and more far-fetched... Psycopathic cult leaders... Brainwashed followers... Neo-Nazis seceeding from the Union... It ain't very plausible, but it is a different kind of mystery novel.

    • title catches your attention and draws you in deep.

More action and military subjects than my normal reading zones. But This Character grabs you in to that place that even as brutal as he has had to be, you that he is an honorable man who will fight to death if neccesary for what he believes in. Tries to stay out of trouble, but it finds him. Though I was dissapointed they did not carry on the female love interest, from his first novel, but it is part of his character. Lots of ways to keep you guessing, but you can't. Always twists and turns keeping your full attention. Really different crime set ups, varys from average "who Done It's" and out does them by far.

    • It's a book.

I read it. You should too, reading is good for the brain. Sitting in front of your computer all day is far different than using your imagination by reading a book. Don't be a jackass. Try it. If you are still reading this, you really do need to do something with yourself. My whole purpose is to make the annoying review link to go away. Have a nice day.
