Biggest game hunter...
I have several of these collections. Each one as enjoyable as the last. The Hornet was (and is) so enjoyable to me. because he is the one masked character from radio (or the pulps) who could have existed in the real world. Granted he and his talented masked accomplice would have failed in their efforts against blood thirsty criminals eventually. Or been captured by the police sooner or later. But a public spirited newspaper owner with a gas gun, bulletproof super-car, and a martial arts sidekick is a lot more realistic than an alien who leaps tall buildings or a a guy who wears an opera cape and dresses up like a bat. This modern day Robin Hood has known many incarnations, but none more successful than his point of origin, radio. This collection represents theater of the mind ... Great wartime stories, the ads alone are so enjoyable. The best episodes involve German agents planning chaos here, but thwarted by the hornet. Wish more of Kato but he is kept to a minimum in this package.
