    Shoeless Joe the Novel

    This is the book that inspired the Kevin Costner movie "Field of Dreams." I recommend the book for people who like a somewhat quirky inspirational story and for writers who are looking to write something totally original. Maybe people who like old time baseball of the early 1900s also. To me, the movie covers things better. I like the voice in it. In the book, the husband refers to his wife as "my love" ---which is somewhat--you know---old or irritating. The book does have many parts that the movie cut. One thing I have to say is the author had to have an amazing imagination. This story is probably the best Ive come across. The guy is beyond gifted. YOU MUST SEE THE MOVIE.
