Great Saws for Homeowners
While a vintage crosscut or rip filed saw is preferred by most handtool woodworkers, these Japanese style pull saws with impulse hardened teeth are just the ticket for homeowners needing a saw for occasional use. These saws cannot be re-sharpened, but replacement blades are available for many brands. They are much thinner than a Western-style push-to-cut saw blade, so a little more care is needed while using so they don’t become bent. Good saw
Very sharp, thin kerf, fine pitched saw. I bought it for cutting dovetails in a tool cabinet I'm making and it's worked great so far. Cuts fast and clean. I was using a coping saw to cut dovetails, so I was already used to pull cutting instead of push. This saw makes a straighter cut with thinner kerf than the coping saw, leaving less cleanup work afterwards. Although I still use a coping saw and a drill to cut out the waste. This saw comes with a plastic blade guard and a storage hook. Don't just throw the packaging out when you get it, make sure to keep the blade guard and hook.Very sharp, thin kerf, fine pitched saw.
