About this product

Product Information

In Rescue: The Embassy Mission your goal is to rescue people inside an embassy who have been taken hostage by a group of terrorists. The game features authentic spy tactics and motion-captured character movements. It is divided into four areas of infiltration. The four areas have various levels of difficulty.

The first part of Rescue: The Embassy Mission involves an attempt to break into the area where the embassy is located. Searchlights prevent you from finding easy access to the building. If you get spotted by the searchlights you will be shot and, the odds are, you will die. This forces you to be more covert as you make your way to the next area.

Next you try to snipe as many enemies as possible from across the street, thus making your last mission (part four) substantially easier. After finishing the sniping you must lower yourself down to a window to break into the embassy. But if you go down to fast the rope may snap and so will your neck (when you land). In the final mission you must take out terrorists in a conventional first-person shooter style.

  • Good Fun for the NES!

This game is short, but well satisfying to a HUGE NES fan! You control a team of swat members that are trying to rescue the Embassy from a terrorist capture. They take over the Embassy building and you must lead the swat team in, one by one. You have to avoid spotlights (yes, the imaginatively turned the Embassy building into a Nazi Terrorist camp) any means possible (rolling beneath them, hiding in brush, doorways and alleyways), snipe the bad guys through windows, and you even enter a first person mode where you must shoot the bad guys before they shoot you... And to be honest, this has to be the FIRST and near only NES game that shows small pools of blood coming out of people! The music sets the tone for the game and pulls it of quite well for the avoiding-spotlights part (music is ...

  • Fighting terror before it was the cool thing to do.

Liked this game as a kid, and wanted to pick it up again. There are basically three parts to the game: a stealth portion which transitions to sniper action, and ends in a first person shooter. Compared to games now, these components by themselves are not that great, but it is fun to run the entire mission (especially on the harder levels). The theme ties it together and I say its still worth playing.

  • Great game!

Good game play and alot of action make this a good game for any retro gamer.

  • Love the game

My husband had this game as a kid and I have never played it before. The classics are always the best it makes you feel like a kid again. It's a cute fun game, you need to be good on timing when you play this game. I'm glad I got It and so is my husband.
