Another classic, profanity strewn product from the team that bought you 'The Young Ones' and 'The Comic Strip'. This Rockumentary preceded 'This Is Spinal Tap' to which this has often been compared, yet is far more real world and slapstick. The humour is more in your face. Some classic songs from an awful band, laugh-out-loud funny though. I bought this because my vinyl version got lost, and I needed a good laugh - if you have sensitive ears(either to hard-rock or copious swearing) you might not want to hear it, but I recommend this to folks who have been in the business.
As Bad as it comes. This is Bad News. As you would expect, lots of swearing, lots of very heavy metal and lots of Bad News. Recommended to true followers. An acquired taste.

Bad News were a spoof rock band, created for the Channel 4 TV series The Comic Strip Presents.... Its members are Vim Fuego (Alan Metcalfe), vocals and lead guitar (Ade Edmondson); Den Dennis, rhythm guitar (Nigel Planer); Colin Grigson, bass (Rik Mayall); and Spider Webb, drums (Peter Richardson). This album is the best of their hilarious parodies of classic metal bands and songs. It was interestingly produced by Brian May from Queen, but that doesn't stop them making fun of "Bo-Rhap". In between the tracks is further banter and hilarity from the band members in the studio ("I could play Stairway To Heaven when I was twelve. Jimmy Page didn't actually write it until he was twenty-two. I think that says quite a lot" said Vim) Spinal Tap lovers will enjoy this CD as will anyone else with a sense of humour who appreciates the great comedians who did The Comic Strip presents series. All we need now is the DVD version.Read full review
