    It does provide some protect against cracking nails.

    I bought this at the recommendation of my dermatologist because I have a problem with a brittle finger nail. It does provide some resistance to cracking and splitting, but it is extremely, extremely slow drying and after a week or so the texture looks kind of uneven or rough. I'll continue to use it because I don't have an alternative.
