Many years ago Future Cop LAPD was on a demo disk that was available for Macs: I never got to play the full version of the game until recently, and I'm overjoyed to say that it was well worth the wait. It's a shame this game doesn't have as big of a following as other games, because it's a hidden gem in the Playstation's veritable catalog. You blast your way through missions in a police mecha with an arsenal of weapons that are unlocked as you progress from mission to mission, taking down the out of control criminals in a crime-ridden LA in the future. My only lamentation is the camera angles leave much to be desired, the closest camera still feels like an aerial shot and there's no checkpoints in the mission so if you die you start over from the beginning. The missions aren't too difficult though, and the gameplay more than makes up for these small issues; all-in-all a great title.Read full review

This game is so much fun! Comparing to games now it may not look like much but back during the PS1 era this game was amazing! The Campaign was pretty good and interesting in seeing what the future would look like if crime were to rise to a great extend and the drastic measure the LAPD could do then... But what really caught my interest was the Precinct Assault mode that the game had. Basically, you were a skilled LAPD officer who was chosen to operate a special mech walker that could obliterate practically anything in its path... and I do mean OBLITERATE! The walker was also able to transform into a hover car if needed to travel faster which was fun. It was really fun with 2-player co-op mode, you got two walkers playing through campaign doing double the carnage with the same abilities and no watered down levels... the only drawback was the fact that both players shared the same energy so if one died so did the other. What really got me into the game was its Battle mode (Precinct Assault)where two players compete in raiding each others bases by sending tanks at each other and making sure at least one got in to win the match... but it is not as easy at it sounds, believe me I know. You could also create flying units to protect your base from enemy intruders raiding your base. If you were a loner and had no friend to play with, you could play it with the AI called Sky Captain who got seriously smarter and stronger each time you beat him. The game mode was a seriously fun and strategy was a must but well worth playing. If you ever got the chance... look for it, get it, dust off your playstation, and get to playing... you just might have fun!Read full review
One of my favorite games growing up, just as playable and as good as I remember. Works perfectly! Thanks so much!

I'm a big fan of the Strike series. I discovered this was supposed to follow up Nuclear Strike, but then it turned into future cop. I decided to try it out and it's actually a lot of fun. The graphics are nice, and the controls are better than I thought. I would recommend this one.

Me and my bro used to play this game all the time. It has a co-op mode for both story and arena. (Something most Ps1 games don't usually contain). Not only is it super fun but it also is super fun with a friend and I totally recommend it to anyone looking for a chance to be a cop in the big mech.
I recently decided to buy this game because I played it alot as a teen. My brother and I couldnt put it down. When I got my game in the mail, I immidiately looked for damage and found none, so I began playing. I found out that the game is just as fun as it was 12 years ago. Only problem is, as an adult, I dont often get time to play it much.
Jogo diferente com muitas missões divertidas e envolventes. Boa jogabilidade, garante horas de diversão. Sai do lugar comum.

I loved that the game looks really good. I wish I would have known it wouldn't come in a case but I might have just not read that part. I decided to buy the game because I really love it & I just recently broken mine so I wanted to replace it.
