I was skeptical about getting another HP printer. In the past 2 years I had 3 others that all failed and they were always problematic. I switched to another brand and I had 3 failures and on my 3rd unit since June 2017 (6 months). This HP Printer seems to work well and so far has been flawless. It was easy to install. Time will tell!

Printer was not "New Other Open Box" as described but was used open box used. Only the output tray was secured with brown tape when HP uses blue tape to secure all moving parts on new printers. I found a drop of wet ink on ink cartridge access door hinge. Ink cartridges were not just opened but also used . I found an old damaged ribbon cable in printer box and a wad of the HP blue tape stuck on the front page of the user's manual. Plugged in the printer and it was very easy to set up because it didn't even go through the initial set up menu and all I had to do was connect it to my network which meant it had been set up before. Both the color and black ink prints had lines running through them and the supposed yellow ink printed out a brown color even after cleaning the cartridges on all 3 levels of cleaning. I've been buying NEW HP printers for 10 years and this printer was not NEW OPEN BOX like the listing claimed but was OPEN BOX USED.Read full review

We purchased the Refurbished 7645 at a fraction of the new price. It came well-packedand looked as-new. Set up was not too tough although the small "drawings only" instruction sheet was not the best possible guide. Since we have another HP printer in our home, the 7645 had a bit of setup-confirmation issues. The 7645 is mated to a laptop, the existing 6500A is in another room, connected to a desktop. Original unit is connected via Ethernet and phone line. 7645 is USB-connected. We had to re-install the 6500A as if new, so the system could incorporate both printers. At this point, all seems proper and functioning as hoped. I would not hesitate to buy another Refurb if the price is right.

I set up my new printer and installed the cartridges that came with it. Within 10 days of installing it, I had to replace the color ink cartridge. I had printed 16 certificates to give to members of my club. Then about a week later, I tried to print 20 color flyers to post around the neighborhood. It ran out of color ink on about flyer #12. That was fewer than 30 color pages. I'm not impressed. Note that this printer has one cartridge for black and one cartridge for all the other colors. (Some printers have separate cartridges for each color.) So if one color runs out the entire color cartridge has to be replaced. In the future, I'll be careful to choose a printer that has separate cartridges for each color.

Always liked the HP line and this decision has not let me down yet. Included software made installation easy for wireless, eprint and fax printing. Lets see when using refilled cartridges. HP has placed some irritating prompts on their printers when not using Real HP Cartridges. Its not the price of the HP Printers that is hard too swallow, its the cost of the HP Ink Cartridges to keep them printing. They also dont support alll their older printers when new Window OS come out forcing printer upgrading. They build good printers but dont want you to use them until they stop working. Bottom line - Good Printer, Copier and Fax for the money.

It would be great if the manual and set up instructions were as good as the printer -- but, they're not. Print quality is good; printer is fairly fast. I feel sure satisfaction will be forthcoming after I learn how to properly exploit the printer's capabilities.

I have owned several HP printers in my life and this is the first one that I am totally satisfied with. It may be a bit slower than others but I am not interested in speed. Quality, easy maintenance & reasonable priced ink cartridges are a MUST for me. The WIFI was easy to get working. In fact the printer did all the work and scanned and looked for our router and it found it and that was it. SIMPLE is the KEY!! Thanks HP for making this printer a cost effective tool in my small business. Jim at Jim's Liquidator Warehouse

Having only used HP printers in the past, I cannot compare to other brands, but this is by far the best HP printer I have used to date. It makes fewer random noises as it prints and most of the applications I use daily are now automated for ease of use. I especially like that the 3 color ink cartridges are incorporated into one. The automatic copy tray that pop out when a copy is made is a nice touch. It gets out of the way when not in use.

Needed a new printer to replace the failing HP C4600 that I had, the price was reasonable, it had a very low print count in it's memory. Now both of the printers I rely on for my clock dials use the same ink carts. Haven't tried the ADF in it, not sure if I'll ever need it. I only needed a reliable second printer.
