Although this Series has very recently become available on Disney+, it's always a good thing to have your own set that will always be available at your own convenience! The dvds come in 2 separate dvds labeled Volume 1 and Volume 2 covering 3 seasons from 2003 to 2005, and are pretty affordable overall. They're great both for fans of the long-gone network tv show, and for newcomers to this particular entry in the Star Wars universe 🌟

I don't know if you've seen the original clone wars cartoon. If you're reading this the you've at least heard of it. Otherwise you wouldn't be considering buying it, right? If you haven't then this series, when it was played on tv, were played as shorts between the other shows on cartoon network. It and volume two bridge the gap between the star wars movies two and three of the younger trilogy. Sometimes the animation feels a little choppy, other times it carries the action very well. Which is the show's focus as it tries to stay away from dialogue. The music complements the movies score. For Star Wars fans, big or little, this would be a great thing. Everything about it carries the sense of scale that Star Wars fans love.
I love Star Wars. This is another piece to my collection. If you are like me, this is something you should have. It opens up a part of the mostly untold stories from the Clone Wars era of the Star Wars universe. The Clone Wars last from the end of Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones to the beginning of Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith. Yes, that's right; the Clone Wars are hardly depicted at all in the movies! So, that's where this series picks of the slack. This volume is, to me, a small morsel of the possible feast of possibilities. As you watch, you can tell that not even all the battles or even all the battles we DO see are shown. There are "snap shot" sequences of a few battles, but it mostly focuses on some of the campaigns that Obi-Wan Kenobi and Anakin Skywalker fight in. It ends with a pre-Episode III glimpse at the prowess of General Grevious. There are plenty of action, including some awesome lightsaber displays. My only problem with the show: it was too short!!! It just wasn't enough for me. If you feel the same way after watching Star Wars-Clone Wars: Vol 1, then go look for Volume 2 where the action continues.Read full review
Although I remember very little from when my son was little, now that he's older and got me to watch Clone Wars, we had to buy this. It was interesting how little verbal engagement there was. Animation was great, but a couple of times had a hard time staying interested. Overall a good buy and loved adding it to our collection!

For some Star Wars fans the concept of a cartoon maybe a little hard to get used to, however, take it for what it is...a cheaper (and different) way to continue the Star Wars saga. There is tons of action, and subtle additions to the base story that takes place between theatrical releases. The animation isn't bad, a little wierd at times, but all in all very watchable for both young and old Star Wars fans.
Love this set, it is only one part of a two set! It shows a bit more back story and also has one of my favorite clones ARC-77, Captain Fordo, whom is the Captain Rex in the other Clone Wars series! I highly recommend it!

This is one of the most pivotal Cartoons Star Wars csme out with Debuting Two important villains from Both TV Series and The films. There's also one of my favorite Characters in Voloff Monn. The first Volume Entails a large scale battle featuring Yoda, Anakin, Obi-Wan, Mace Windu, Padme, Kit Fisto, Count Dooku, and many more recognizable Characters. I don't want to give too much away, But Anakin is Doing predictable Anakin, Yoda and Mace show off some strength, and The Battles take place by Ground, Sea, and Air. At a 69 minute run time, the action is Fast paced but feels like you are watching an actual Live action film.

As I was watching this Star Wars Clone Wars the Anime Series I kept SCREAMING INTO THE TV SCREEN shouting...WHY WASN'T THIS EPISODE II!?!? Why weren't these the NEW MOVIES!? This should have been the live action movie! I do not exaggerate in any way when I say that these episodes are BETTER THAN ALL OF THE NEW STAR WARS MOVIES...This is NOTHING BUT FIGHTING from beginning to End! Lightsaber and Space Battles that are unbelievable...I REALLY, REALLY, REALLY WISH GEORGE LUCAS RELEASED THIS IN THE MOVIE THEATRES IN 2002 INSTEAD of that piece of crap Attack of the Clones that he did. There is a lot of reference to Japanese Anime in this film...even though it's a SO CALLED "CARTOON" it's FAR FAR AWAY FROM IT! This Movie plays out like a KUNG FU FILM rather than a Star Wars film. Another reason why this was so good was because this was done by Gendy Tarkotovsky...in other words...a fellow star wars fan. Let us the fans make these movies from now on and Lucas can still make money off of the selling the toys since that's all he wants to do right now. Again this combines TWO OF MY FAVORITE THINGS...STAR WARS AND JAPANESE ANIME!!! If you were disapointed by the new Star Wars films...watch this one because it makes sense of the Clone Wars!Read full review
Love this animation series! This series of short stories is a little crude in animation compared to its later tv series. However it's stores are excellent, fun watch and helps fans to bridge the gaps of events at going on in the Star Wars universe. I give this series two thumbs up and recommend it for any Star Wars lover.
