My cousin turned me onto the Sonos play systems when I visiting his home. After a week of utilizing the Sonos system in his home, I looked into purchasing one for mine. I used to utilize and AUX cord plugged into my stereo, but when I donated the stereo I began looking for a replacement option. I can place the Play 3 in the picture frame cutout window in my wall between my kitchen and living room and the sound is incredible! No more blaring my computer speakers just to hear my music over the dishwasher or stove. Pros: Sleek design, fits well into any home environment without appearing bulky or an eye sore Amazing sound capabilities! Sonos system can be downloaded on any device! I utilize the Android app and Mac app for my desktop User friendly and easy set-up via your home network Can add more speakers to your songs system later on, I.E soundbar for TV or a speaker in another room Solid built and great quality Cons: So far I haven't run into any cons, other than the pricing is high. But, if you want quality that will last you're going to have to shell out some clams.Read full review

Sound is very good. Ease of use and connectivity is great. Good design. For s small room (to my ears) not much difference (if any) between this speaker and the smaller, less expensive Sonos 1 speaker which I also own. That's why 4 instead of 5 stars. A single Sonos 1 will easily sound great in a 12x14 room. As with something so subjective your mileage may vary of course. I do highly recommend this Sonos 3 speaker regardless.

I've had other internet radio streaming devices before (sqeezebox) that never really worked. Wireless connections had problems, and the remotes never really worked. The Sonos system actually works - all the time. Its setup is really as easy as pushing two buttons. Sound is excellent. I have all my favorite radio stations and programs bookmarked. Control from your computer or an app from your phone. The only negative is that sonos needs to pay a little attention to its user interface. Spoken word files and podcasts are difficult to manage. Although it works well with TuneIn radio, Stitcher, Pandora and other apps, they still haven't really gotten the Music library down yet. I can't reliably retrieve either podcasts or audiobooks from this interface. In addition, the Stitcher features that you have control of from your app do not replicate well in the Sonos interface. Finding and playing all episodes of podcasts is still pretty clutzy. I still haven't been able to reliably link to "Hardcore History" by Dan Carlin. Overall, I give the device an A+ and the user interface a solid B.Read full review
I have 3 sets of existing speakers with a switch box and wanted a simple way to stream music to them. Sonos delivered this with the Connect Amp. Initial setup was super simple. Just connected the amp to the input of my switch box and ran setup from the dowloaded app. Up and running in under 10 minutes with my iTunes library, Pandora and Prime Music. Allowing other family members to control the system was as easy as downloading the app to their phones and doing a quick discovery. So far very happy with this purchase.

I've been a Sonos convert for two years now and have helped a few friends peel away from their wired systems. I was motivated by the 20% discount and so bought this as an "open box" item to add some sound to my bedroom. It arrived in brand new condition. Super easy to integrate into my existing system. Very happy with the sound quality and the purchase! Very satisfied!
