Notes
Double vinyl LP pressing. For those of us who grew up in the '70s, this drive-in compilation of '50s and '60s Rock and Doo Wop, complete with Wolfman Jack introductions, was our introduction to this music. There are 41 jukebox hits here, and every one of them is a classic of its time (although two tracks "At the Hop" and "She's so Fine" are covers by the revival band Flash Cadillac & the Continental Kids). In his 1973 movie, director George Lucas used the music (and the presence of mysterious deejay Wolfman) as the AM radio soundtrack to one night in suburban California, 1962. The idea was to capture and sustain an end of summer, end of innocence mood that's in the air throughout the picture not as a shortcut to establishing a period. There's an awful lot of spontaneous energy in these tunes-from Chuck Berry and Buddy Holly, to the Platters and the Clovers and the Del-Vikings, to the Crests and the Beach Boys and also just a hint of melancholy that goes down very nicely with a burger, shake, and fries.

- -***9 (171)- Feedback left by buyer.Past 6 monthsVerified purchaseI had a wonderful experience with this seller! My item arrived on time and was very well packaged for it's trip through the mail. It arrived in the exact condition stated in the listing and was perfectly priced. The seller was also very communicative when I had a question about shipping. Thank you, ebay seller!
- h***f (8469)- Feedback left by buyer.Past monthVerified purchaseI had a very positive experience. My three box sets were shipped quickly with UPS signature required, the price was very good and they were well packaged, this is a very big company and I sent a few messages and didn’t get a response from a person. I did get a prompt return message but each time it was a computer generated message. Other than that I received excellent service. 5STARS*****
- 2***2 (160)- Feedback left by buyer.Past 6 monthsVerified purchaseFast shipping in careful, thoughtful packaging. Product matched the listing condition (new), but didn't match the listing description. There was an article missing; however, the item received was brand new in factory seal so I blame the manufacture for the error. Regardless, spoke with customer service and they were very fast and friendly in response. I've bought a fair amount of stuff from them in the past and can't wait to buy from them again. 100%. Great company.Vance Joy - Dream Your Life Away [New Vinyl LP] Bonus CD (#146081656526)
