Only .25x more than my Daylight magnifier lamp but seems like a lot more. The dust guard does want to drop down, but can get it to stay up but feel like I might break it so I have a mask with elastic that I keep it prompt open with. The light is excellent, bright & spreads over a fair amount of surface area. Works well to take pix of my finished projects w/o adding a lot of glare like a flash would.
