    Great version

    I was actually looking for the original version that had scenes in it that were cut out in later versions. I saw it on a cassette version many years ago when it was first released but can't seem to locate it any place but thank you for your help

    Powerful story of exploitation

    I have always loved Eric Robert's as an actor but he is almost unrecognizable in this. He totally morphed into this character, it is almost scary. Mariel Hemmingway plays the innocent Dorothy Stratton very well. Even though you know what is going to happen, because this is based on a true story, you are still sitting on the edge of your seat. I had this in VHS and so glad I now have found the DVD for my collection loop

    Beautiful, erotic, neurotic and murderous

    Erotic cautionary tale of a famous Playboy centerfold, Dorothy Stratton, who went on to star in the movie Galaxina, and guest on Buck Rodgers TV series. Hemmingway is spooky in her resemblance to the real Stratton, clothed and otherwise. Acting is not academy award, but it's still quality movie

    Performances from Eric Roberts and Mariel Hemmingway were off the charts. Innocence and beauty coupled with the big bad wolf Eric Roberts. The film is decadent and effective in demonstrating pimp mentality, self centered egotism and an array of insecurities revealed in character (Paul Snider). As the film develops tension between the innocent and beautiful (Dorothy Stratten) and her older manipulative husband - Paul Snider, we see an evil ugly dimension of him come alive on the big screen. This film probably stereotyped Eric Roberts forever. He was so convincing in this film in becoming a Pimp and the evil Devil rolled into one very disgusting character.     The movie about Dorthey Stratten is very good - however the biography of her life by Peter B is excellent. Though the movie is very good - I am a fan of Muriel Hemingway who plays Dorthey Stratten.
