      RX100m6 WOW

Incredible camera, takes razor sharp picture. I have a FF and crop sensor camera and the pictures hold up to these much bigger camera. Took a picture of a flower bed with all three camera, not close up, but you can zoom in to a rain drop on one of the flowers and see the reflection. It was just as sharp at max mag as the other two cameras. The camera is truly a pocket camera, more like a full camera bag in one pocket.

    • Top critical review

overpriced but very good quality images

Very good images but menu and button layout are typical Sony user-unfriendly. I bought it as open-box price which was reasonable but the EVF was DOA and i had to send it in for warranty repair. Short battery life due to compact size.

    • A lot of camera to fit in your pocket

Excellent camera for point & shoot & for more sophisticated photography. It is pricey for a pocket camera but it is packed features including the 200telephoto lens for close ups.

    • RX100vi - Really good.

Good camera. Wish it had a build in Intervalometer. So far, good for the type of shooting I do. Mainly used for stills. Video: Shot video for a while for testing, in HD and 4k. Batteries don't last long. Make sure you have spares. It shuts down due to overheating. If only taking small clips, does good. Menu: Takes some time to understand. If not familiar with Sony system, watch some YT videos. Overall: If using for stills, it may be worth purchasing. For video, might be better of with rx100vi or other manufacturers.

    • Solid professional quality 6th gen Sony point-and-shoot with raw support and viewfinder

Sony is now on its 7th iteration of the RX100, and I bought the 6th, already owning the 3rd. There are two major differences between the M3 and M6: 1) the zoom is 24-200 instead of 24-70, making it more suitable as an all-purpose pocketable camera; 2) to achieve #1, the f-stop range is slower, dropping from f1.8-2.8 to f2.8-4.5. So the M6 might not be as effective in low-light settings. I'll keep my M3 until I have a chance to check the M6 in poor lighting situations. All in all, the M6 is a good sturdy camera with excellent optics, a viewfinder, and the ability to shoot raw images as well as JPG. The sensor is nowhere near as good as on a full-frame DSLR nor the M7, but it's far better than the other similarly-sized point-and-shoot cameras. I also have a full-frame Sony DSLR, but it's a ...
