      different type of rubber?

      The old original one lasted about 20 years before starting to have slow leaks. Put a new one in, leak stopped for a few months. Leaks again. Another replacement to stop leaks… another few months. Now I’m on the third replacement. Don’t know if the manufacturing company is using a different kind of rubber compound. Or the replacement had been setting on the retailer shelf for years and the rubber still deteriorated. Didn’t see a date of manufacture, expiration or shelf life date on the valve seal package. The other valve seal components seem OK. Will have to consider replacing all of the valve seal components with different type and brand if I only get a few months of service again. At the very least another retailer. Can’t recommend as a replacement when getting only a few ...
