Synopsis
#1 NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLER #1 USA TODAY BESTSELLER Notable Book of 2016 -- Washington Post 10 Favorite Books of 2016 -- Colette Bancroft, Tampa Bay Times 10 Best Mysteries of 2016 -- Adam Woog, Seattle Times Detective Harry Bosch must track down someone who may never have existed in the new thriller from #1 New York Times bestselling author Michael Connelly. Harry Bosch is California's newest private investigator. He doesn't advertise, he doesn't have an office, and he's picky about who he works for, but it doesn't matter. His chops from thirty years with the LAPD speak for themselves. Soon one of Southern California's biggest moguls comes calling. The reclusive billionaire is nearing the end of his life and is haunted by one regret. When he was young, he had a relationship with a Mexican girl, his great love. But soon after becoming pregnant, she disappeared. Did she have the baby? And if so, what happened to it? Desperate to know whether he has an heir, the dying magnate hires Bosch, the only person he can trust. With such a vast fortune at stake, Harry realizes that his mission could be risky not only for himself but for the one he's seeking. But as he begins to uncover the haunting story--and finds uncanny links to his own past--he knows he cannot rest until he finds the truth. At the same time, unable to leave cop work behind completely, he volunteers as an investigator for a tiny cash-strapped police department and finds himself tracking a serial rapist who is one of the most baffling and dangerous foes he has ever faced. Swift, unpredictable, and thrilling, The Wrong Side of Goodbye shows that Michael Connelly "continues to amaze with his consistent skill and sizzle" ( Cleveland Plain Dealer )., In this #1 New York Times bestseller, California's newest private investigator, Detective Harry Bosch, must track down a missing heir while helping a police department connect the dots on a dangerous cold case. In fantastic condition, as advertised. I messed up on my default address (recently moved) and the seller was helpful and suggested we bundle the order together with a different book I was looking at for better shipping cost

    Another great Harry Bosch novel

Loved this one and couldn't put it down.. read the entire book day one. Had a great plot and subplot. I have been a fan of Harry since the first book I read that he was a character in. You won't be disappointed.. very well written with a great ending. You even get the bonus of the Lincoln lawyer showing up in the last few chapters to help his half brother out. I love when these two are brought together and I look forward to the next book.

  • Twists and Turns Keep You on Your Toes Until the Very End

An old sick man wants to know if he has an heir. At every turn Bosch seems to be shut down, but with sheer work and some luck manages to find another avenue to explore. Just when you think all of the questions have been answered, there is another twist. Perfectly logical, but still we had not expected it. A great surprise ending. Highly recommend to all true Harry Bosch fans.

  • packaging

I did not appreciate the tight plastic shipping envelope. It had to be cut away from the book, and in that process the dust jacket was also cut. Not good. My library sells used books for three dollars. This library copy overpriced. I have always enjoyed Michael Connelly books, and this one did not disappoint.
