Notes
York, PA's Tea has been impressing audiences in PA & MD for the past two years. Tea fuses classic rock, funk, folk, and jamband genres into an interesting performance on 'Anfang' CD. The Beatles, Queen, Paul Simon, The Dave Matthews Band, The Red Hot Chili Peppers, Bela Fleck, Parliament Funkadelic, and Aerosmith have all been a part of their musical backgrounds. Recorded when they were sophomores in high school, the 6 track debut EP Anfang ('beginning' in German), takes the listener through tunes like the classic rock influenced 'CFIO', 'New Light', and 'A Slide', bluegrass/folk 'Orchid' & 'Put Me Back' and the funky 'Fletch.' Tea speaks to older generations through their nostalgic classic rock and driven guitars, but focuses it's energies on a live performance with many improvisations. A Tea show is a wild orgy of dance, psychedelic grooves, glow-sticks, and the band has even been known to throw in 'Hava Nagila' on occasion. Check out the band on MySpace.com/teatheband.
