    Extremely well done

    American Experience does it right with a good balance of human interest and historical authenticity. They create a riveting narrative that makes you think you were there- that you become part of the experience. Hoover Dam stands as a monument to a period of America. It becomes a character in the narrative of that period as well as the people that planned and built it and the political climate that existed at that time. The only element missing was the environmental consideration which was not a factor in that period and thus becomes conspicuous by its absence and telling of the period. Extremely well done.

    They did a lot of organizing to make this

    Interviews with real (old) people who actually worked on building the dam. A complete history of efforts to better harness and use the Colorado river water going by. I have watched this a few times. About an hour, organized and interesting from beginning to end. Full of interesting facts.
