Good travel machine
I am happy with this machine. It is sturdy, but still light enough to use for retreats and classes. Plenty of feet, even a walking foot. My only complaint is the upper thread holder is awkwardly angled and needs to be removed when traveling. Love it!!
I purchased this brother sq9285 to replace my older brother machine I have had since the 1980's and I am loving it! I have taken sewing into the modern age, and loving it. I love all the quilting stitches and the embroidery as well! This is my first computerized sewing machine, and I took right off! Very easy to use and understand. The instructions are very easy to understand. I love being able to sew without the presser foot! It even has snail speed! The only thing I noticed that wasn't the best is when you shut it off it resets the stitch back to beginning, and places the needle to the left. I had been piecing a quilt, and the opening for the needle is only in the center on the foot. I have to remember to change the stitch back every time I shut it off or I will hit the foot. I wish it would reset to center so any foot would work. Came in packaged well and everything was included, as described. I would definitely recommend!Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned
