Swashbuckling fun
1960s style low budget swashbuckling with some reliable character actors - I didn't know Terence Morgan before (who plays Sir Francis Drake) but Roger Delgado as the Spanish ambassador is always a delight. I love all this era's adventure series.

It is what it says on the box
This is as entertaining to a 66 year old as it was to a 6 year old boy all those years ago as I watched it weekly every Sunday. The quality is as good now as ever and the characters as true as I remember them. The ship sets are real. I had the benefit of a guided tour round it with my father and uncle in Torquay in 1962.
