Matt still keeping law and order in Dodge City.
This set covers the first months of 1960. If you are a huge marshal Matt Dillon fan then these early-season (Season 5) half hour episodes are for you. When they went to one hour episodes in season 7 in Sept, 1961, all too often the focus was on guest characters and veered away from Matt, sometimes too much which would be even more prevalent as the 1960s went on. Here you have Matt handling each task in his own way. Sometimes tragedy and gun play are averted but other times not. That was life in the old West.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

I was too young to appreciate Gunsmoke until the later years. These early years are so interesting and well written. James Arness is a better actor than I remembered too.
