This seller knows how to pack fragile items. They were nestled in newspaper in a sturdy cardboard box, wrapped in bubble wrap secured by strong eBay tape. They arrived unscathed. They were in great condition for vintage items and were as described. I believe seller offered me a discount so I think I got a great value. I love the Cambridge Pottery items. They are solid and add a handsome clement to my table.

    The original Zeffirelli Production

This DVD captures the original Franco Zeffirelli production of Giacomo Puccini's Turandot recorded April 4, 1987 at the Metropolitan Opera featuring Eva Marton in the title role of the icy princess Turandot and Placido Domingo as the foreign prince willing to risk his life in order to marry her. This legendary recording includes a 5.1 audio track and is a must-have for any opera recording collection.

  • Great Turandot!

The very first opera I ever heard in a live concert was a concert version (no costumes or scenery) while I was a Queens College (NY) undergraduate. It thrilled me. I've since gone to a live full-scale performance in St. Petersburg, FL. This DVD, set on the much larger stage than in Florida, is extremely satisfying, especially seen on a 46 inch television screen.

  • Great Performance!

Wanted to see this opera after it had been part of the story line in the Mission Impossible movie starring Tom Cruise. I enjoyed it very much.
