    Beware! This item is counterfeit. It arrived in an original Pentair bag but with the bag already opened and some lower quality basket inside. Original has 2 U.S. patent numbers marked on it. This has none. This has poor quality molding in the plastic. This is shorter in height than the genuine original. At a minimum, it is USED since the Pentair bag was already open. More likely, it clearly appears to be counterfeit.

    SUPERIOR STRAINER BASKET.

    Running my pumps for over 20 years and I have gone through a number of baskets. I ordered 2 of these strainer basket and I am pleased to find them to be of greater quality than what I have used in the past. These baskets are not the traditional plastic replacement basket but a heavy duty nylon type material that should last a long time. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT!

    OEM Pentair pump strainer

    This is well-built and will last 5 years. I ordered two so that I can replace one with the other while washing the first without letting too much air get into the pump. My original basket broke at the very top and the ring was going to separate. I did not want to risk sending broken pieces into the pump. So I replaced it. Local pool shops sell their own version. But was not sure if they would last as long as OEM.

    Very good material. Very good quality.

    I really like the thickness of the plastic. Feels more heavy duty than others I've bought before. I'm sure this one won't break as easy as the priory's I've had. Thinking of buying another just to have as spare

    Pentair OEM Pump Trap Basket

    Product is OEM Quality. One year ago I needed a pump trap basket and I went to my local store. I purchased, not by choice, the stores blue pump trap basket. What a piece of garbage, more particles were passing thru the basket and it never fit very well. The blue basket cost was more than the OEM part. This product is what I would recommend, it is high quality and very durable.

    Better Basket

    Received these new strainer baskets and to my delight they are heavier plastic than the original which was a surprise. The original strainer has thinner plastic. They seem to be sturdier and now do not have to worry about tapping them on a solid surface to remove debris.
