Great for arthritic hands. A great design.
This is the only opener that I have found that is light weight and very easy to use. This opens most size jars and even those pesky plastic seals on water bottles and similar. The bottle opener part is also very handy as an all in one product. My mother in-law gave me my first one. Now I give all my friends one and they are so impressed. This is a design that has been around for years. I did have one that had some plastic on the handbars which did make it a little softer but doesn't really make it work any better. They did get lost after awhile too. It is even handy to pack if you are travelling on holidays in caravans, boats or cars when you are going to self cater. It makes life sooo much easier! Stainless Steel Adjustable Jar Opener
I have had one like this for over 20 yrs. I bought this for a friend as she had trouble opening bottles and jars. My mother had arthritic hands and this item gave her independence in the kitchen. It is well made and so easy to use. The only limit to the items you can open is the length of the bar with holes in it. After hand surgery I couldnt open a thing. This gadget-with a very old history- beats a lot of the new plastic jobs. I can open jars, bottle tops, plastic lids big or small. Gives good leverage. Any one with arthritis in their hands should have this at easy reach.
