I bought this 50 gsm kevlar fabric to make a heat-resistant insulating sleeve for the cylindrical surface of a pot, for use with a backpacking stove. Putting the edge of the fabric directly into a flame chars it, but it does not burst into flame and burn. Just what I needed.
